Welcome to Forever Addicting! My name is Jess Muhlbier, nice to meet you! I am a 20 something year-old Canadian, but currently live down under in Melbourne, Australia. I'm in the midst of completing my MA and I work at lululemon athletica. I like leafy green vegetables, nut butter, herbal tea, and my job. I found my passion, purpose, and money-making solution in both health and communications.
For the past five years, I've worked under the umbrella of communications and public relations. In 2009, I graduated from The University of Western Ontario with a BA in MIT (Media, Information, Technoculture) and in 2011, I returned to Uni to complete my Masters in Media & Global Communications, at The University of Melbourne. However, this time around, my health, wellbeing, and passion for holistic living is at the fore front. I'm gearing my Masters toward branding and community relations for global health and wellness brands. It's my goal to manage communications for a global health and wellness brand.
Throughout my journey, health, fitness, and nutrition has always been a part of me. I release stress at the gym, feel grounded through yoga, find comfort in the kitchen, and believe in a holistic approach to both inner and outer beauty.
The core of my passion(s) stems from my personal struggle in achieving a healthy balance. When I was a teenager I flip-flopped between a vegan, non-vegan, and semi-vegetarian diet. I used to take commercial drugs for my allergies, pop Advil when I had a headache, and use chemically laced beauty products. I failed to read labels because I didn't understand what I was feeding my body. I never liked fast or processed foods; however, I used to avoid healthy fats in fear of "getting fat". I now eat avocados for breakfast. I've always been active and athletic, but ignored the fact that my body needs those healthy fats, proteins, and nurturing whole foods. I attempted to eat how others ate and jumped on a few "fad-diets", even though I knew neither of those strategies were right for me.
After some time, and bumps along the way, I comfortably shifted to a natural, holistic, and whole foods lifestyle and I've never felt better. My diet is neither rigid nor inflexible, but instead wholesome, healthy, and comfortable for me and my life today. My ever-evolving transformation has allowed me to perceive beauty, and myself, in a healthier and more honest way. I deeply care for the wellbeing of others and hope to shed some light on how to live and feel healthier, without great cost or effort.
Forever Addicting is an honest place where I share my insights, recipes, personal musings, and quest for balance.
**Please keep in mind that I am not yet a registered dietitian or naturopathic doctor. Although most of my recipes and health-related advice derives from research and professional consultation, you should always consult a doctor before making any changes to your diet or exercise routine. **
Like me, Forever Addicting has evolved over the past four years and will continue to do so throughout my journey. I hope you stay a while to read, comment, share your story, and eventually become addicted to a more natural approach to health, wellness, and overall balance.

Once I began to listen and nurture my body, I gained new strength, love, and perspective. I also realized my burning desire for optimum health. After consulting with various naturopathic professionals and absorbing knowledge around me, I quickly adopted a more holistic lifestyle. My beauty cabinet is stocked with natural products and I always read labels carefully. I've eliminated toxins from my medicine/beauty cabinet, home, and most importantly from my body. After some time, and bumps along the way, I comfortably shifted to a natural, holistic, and whole foods lifestyle and I've never felt better.
