Holy Makeup Batman(!)

Just before the long weekend I was surprised (and oh so delighted) to receive The EyeStudio by Maybelline New York from Matchstick. Matchstick is an awesome word of mouth marketing agency, based here in Toronto. Last year (err, or maybe the year before?) I was lucky enough to spread the word on L'oreal double extend mascara and O.B tampons.

Behold...the eye-studio!

The package was a lot heavier than I thought it would be (in a good way ;)

The kit included 12 colour plush eye shadows, 10 colour pearls marbleized eye shadow, 4 lasting drama gel eyeliners, and 4 XXL pro mascaras.

Sephora...in a box

Immediately, I opened a new mascara for myself. My old mascara was more than ready to be tossed. I decided to try the XXL Pro Mascara for "curling". This mascara is double-ended with a conditioning primer application as well as the standard black brush. The mascara brush is a good size and coats all your lashes quite well.

My only minor dislike was that it was a little thick...but after removing some of the excess with kleenex, it was good to go!

I then gave a handful of makeup to my girlfriends (not like they argued)...a new mascara and eyeliner for Nadine, some colour duo eye shadow for Bret, and purple eye shadow for my mommy (my mom is obsessed with the colour purple..she's kinda like Barney the purple dinosaur, without the tail and "I play with silly-putty" mantra).

I have yet to test out the other products but I am looking forward to cracking open a new eyeliner! I'll keep you posted ;)

MIA

I've been MIA. Sad, but true.

Alas, I've been a busy bee...go-go-go non-stop has been my mantra for the past 2 months. Not to mention, I've been somewhat side tracked by twitter, foursquare, jessicamuhlbier.com, tumblr, blog reader, and other addicting social media networks.

Alas, I've definitely missed my blogging here at Forever Addicting.

But, not to worry, I'm back and will be blogging 1-3 times per week...let's be serious, you and I could both use the extra addiction ;)

PS - for my next post, I will be reviewing a boat load of makeup goodies that I kindly received from Matchstick...I may even throw in a few giveaways

Easter Egg Hunt

Early Easter morning, I woke up to a trail of easter eggs leading out my bedroom door and down the stairs. I'm not kidding.

At first I thought "Oh Mother, you've done it again" but to my delight that thought quickly became "Oooh yay, an Easter Egg hunt!"

So, with that, I woke up my brother and together we fiercely proceeded to hunt for every last chocolate egg.

...sometimes, it's just better to be a child at heart.
